Several weeks ago, I purchased an ebook I’d found online about balloon decorations. This was the first ebook I’d ever purchased and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I wanted to find some new ideas for balloon decorations, especially for weddings and anniversary parties.

The book, Balloon Decor Secrets, was written by a professional balloon decorator and I was pleasantly surprised to find it filled with useful tips for planning balloon decorations for just the sort of elegant events I had in mind.

The book is 42 pages long and downloading it was quick and easy. While it has a few pictures of actual decorations, there aren’t many and they aren’t glossy, glamor photos BUT the directions are very clear and the information was incredibly useful in terms of planning ahead and coming up with unique and expensive-looking decorations.  In particular, the book includes:

  • planning tips for balloon decorations, supplies, and timing for weddings
  • information on how long helium and air-filled balloons last
  • how to make a balloon ceiling (especially great for a wedding reception dance floor)
  • instructions for balloon columns, arches and swags
  • tips for using balloons to customize your reception location
  • ideas for making the balloons more unique
  • great ways to make elegant centerpieces and topiary trees to fill reception hall space

At a price of just over $10 combined with the ability to download it immediately and always have it handy on my hard drive, I thought it was a great deal.

The author mentions that she’d love to have pictures of any balloon decorations made with the tips in her book and that those who send in the pictures will receive a gift of recognition in return.  I haven’t done that yet, but it’s a neat offer, certainly.  She’s preparing to take her book to publication so I kind of see this as a way to get a digital copy for less money in advance of the more polished (and expensive) version that may come out in the future.

Before I recommended the book, I did want to make sure that someone was truly answering any email questions that might be sent to the author.  I sent in a question and received a response within 24 hours.  A very pleasant, timely and helpful response.

So, if you’re looking for more how-to information on balloon decoration ideas for weddings and parties, you really can’t go wrong with Balloon Decor Secrets.  The author’s website offers additional information about the book.
